Airlie Beach / Whitsundays....

After Cairns, Airlie beach was a welcomed change; it was very much similar to Cairns just on a smaller more chilled out scale as it was not as young and booze infuelled. Our first night here was spent in a hostel called Magnums, these cabin style dorms were ok, however 1 night was enough for us bug hating females...

Our 2nd day consisted of checking out and putting our luggage into storage at Peterpans (another perk when booking your trips through them)... After our luggage was safe and secure we decided to sunbath for a few hours around the lagoon whilst we waited for our boat which was due to leave at 2:30pm in the afternoon for our 2 day tour of the Whitsunday Islands....

Whitsunadys...

Our boat was called the Atlantic Clipper, it is known as a party boat and can hold about 50 people; and I must say we had a very fun 2 day/2night trip with all of the young (mainly irish) party people on our boat.... The Whitsundays are amazing, in particular Whithaven beach, it was like paradise which was untouched, with the whitest sand and crystal blue sea.... AMAZING!!!

We met some great people on this trip and played many drunken card games in the evening, and done laods of swimming, snorkling and scubba diving during the day. If you are under 35, like to have a laugh whilst sightseeing then I recommend this boat... TOP TIP- If you book directly through the Atlantic Clipper, then you receive a free scubba dive...

Airlie Beach, after party...

The day we returned to shore was the day toni and I originally planned to leave for our next destination on a night coach; however as we had met so many great people, we decided to extend our stay for 1 more night so we could go to our boats after party... We were glad we did as we had a very fun night with all our fellow passengers and crew form the Atlantic Clipper...

The next evening, we said our goodbye’s and hopped on a night coach further down serve to Bunderberg, where we hoped to do some fruit picking....
