THE PLAN

WHERE- Firstly we had to decide where we wanted to go?
WHEN- When could we go?
DURATION- How long did we want to go for?

Well I’ve always wanted to go to Australia, and Toni wanted to go to the full moon party which is in Thailand. So we decided we wanted to leave this year just after Christmas but before New Years Eve. With that decided, we planned the below route.

December 27th 2009- March 27th 2010- ASIA (Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam)

March- August 2010 Australia(Travel around the coast try and see as much as possible, going to get working Visa’s to earn some extra money along the way)

September-End of October 2010- New Zealand (travel the whole north and south)

November 2010- Cook Island (Island hop, relax)

December 2010- LA (3 weeks, see as many sites as possible)

HOME- December 23rd 2010 (In time for Christmas with our families)

We had a lot of help planning our route from our travel advisor, Scott. He works for a company called Round The World Experts. Great guy, so helpful, plus he is Australian so he has lots of knowledge, and he has done the route we are doing which is a bonus. Before finding this company, we did look at so many other travel agencies, and this one was by far the cheapest, which of course was our main priority, cause unfortunately neither myself nor Toni are rich.
We ended up paying just over £1300 each for our tickets which include all the main flights. Now that we have paid for these flights our next step is to get our travel insurance which is going to work out between £300-£400.
